This is a breakdown of my personal branding project, March 2017 at Full Sail University. I was creating a logo and identity package with an icon, text, and colors to express my personality, skills, and character. I began with sketches, then moved to vectored logos before finalizing the design. Here are a few pages of initial sketches; I really wanted to use my initials "AGB," as I often use them to identify myself and felt that it would be comfortable and welcoming.
I chose to follow the design with the most meanings for me: the top left logo sketch on the second page, as it included my initials and also formed a harp shape (since being a harpist is pretty unusual, I wished to include it). I added a background for the vectored designs below, and extended it to include a painterly background as well so it would have more depth.
Below is the colored version of my final vectored logo design. I chose cool colors, as they better reflect my more introverted, night owl personality, and I included #000000 black as a color as well because of the high contrast.
