For my fourth installation of Project and Portfolio class here at Full Sail University, we were tasked with creating a fictitious television show and designing an entire set of promotional materials for it. I developed "STEAM," a show centered on a Steampunk murder mystery retelling of the Civil War, Transcontinental Railroad, and westward expansion in the vein of The Lone Ranger, Firefly, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. (DISCLAIMER: if you're thinking it sounds a little like Hell on Wheels, I didn't discover that that show even EXISTED until the final week of the project, so this was developed completely independently of that series.) This is nearly the entire package: 15-second promo including the logo build, an 11" x 14" print ad, a lower third, and finally a title sequence build. Both the promo and the title sequence feature a remixed song from Nickel Creek's "This Side" album called "Seven Wonders." In the title sequence, the names are all borrowed from the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian, just for a fun personal joke. Each pair of objects that morphs onscreen has direct connections to the imaginary characters the "actor" whose name appears onscreen would portray. I did all the audio and visual editing myself. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for looking. Cheers, AGB
